Opening Remarks

Hester Agudosi is a veteran government leader with diverse experience that spans over twenty five years. She began her career in public service as a prosecutor with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and transitioned to serving in senior management positions in government which include: Chief of the Office of Bias Crimes and Community Relations and Chief of the Prosecutors Supervision and Coordination Bureau for the Division of Criminal Justice; Deputy Director of Equal Opportunity for the Office of the Attorney General; and Director of Equal Opportunity and Public Contract Assistance for the Department of Environmental Protection. She was recently appointed by Governor Phil Murphy to serve as the first Chief Diversity Officer for the state of New Jersey.
